Verde Coal Oven .. mmm

Yesterday was pretty cool. I met some really awesome people, two Pisces and a Gemini.  But the most interesting person I met last night was Arbol.  After taking pictures yesterday I was so attached to Brooklyn I literally fell in love with that town.  So I wanted to eat dinner, but the number one thing that grosses me out is going to a dirty ass restaurant with rude people waiting on you.  I typed into Google food, and the third thing that I clicked was a restaurant called Verde Coal Oven.  It had 4.5 stars so I decided that we were going to eat there.  At first it is hard to find, but Taylor saw it kind of hidden.  We parked and walked in.  The first step in that restaurant was so relaxing.  The lights were perfectly dimmed to set the mood right.  There were probably 6 other diners in the restaurant.  We picked our seats and the very nice lady approached us.  I requested a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and continued to look at the menu.  I swear my mouth started watering as soon as I saw the apps.   Since I have been trying to eat “right” I didn’t even know what the fuck I wanted to eat.  My mind is telling me to eat something healthy, and my eyes are telling me to order that damn short rib meal that on the menu!!!! Hahahaha.  So if you know me, you know exactly what I did, loll … I GOT THE SHORT RIB DUAH! I appreciate great food.

So I put the order in and there was a man just sitting on the seats by himself talking to the waitress here and there.  He just looked so damn interesting.  He had a mustache that reminded me of jack sparrow.  Actually he reminded me of Jack Sparrow, I asked him if I could take a picture of him and he gave me a pose.  Then I started to listen to him speak- moisture, he had an accent.  I’m a sucker for accents not even going to lie.  So I asked him where he was from, Argentina, my next curiosity, when was his birthday.
I and Taylor were sitting down thinking so hard like creeps, about when his birthday was.  So were like oh he’s def. a sign that we would expect him to be, but he had tattoos, and then we were like , hmmm that mustache is out there so he’s not conservative.  WTF sign is he!?  I obviously asked him and he was a Pisces.  I was surprised I don’t know I just wanted him to say he was a Gemini, come to find out that he is married to a Gemini.  That’s good enough loll.
When our plates came out my food looked so damn good that my bottom lip dropped into my plate.  It was mashed potatoes (not a fan) with broccoli rabe, and a short rib all cooked on a skillet.  The smell slowly steamed off the short rib and jumped right into my taste buds.  Holy fuck that shit was so damn good.  I ATE ALL OF IT; even the mashed potatoes were amazing.  Taylor had ordered spaghetti and meatballs, and I tried her meatball, wow I could taste every bit of meat that existed in that meat ball.  The seasoning was perfect the meatball was so damn tender I was like wtf is that real life ha-ha.
We were so full after.  Come to find out that Arbol was the chef and owner of this beautiful restaurant.  We chit chatted and took pictures together.  He was kind enough to give me a tour of his back room where a stove and refrigerator from the 1920’s was delicately placed.  They both worked too.  He proceeded to show me his upcoming installment of an outside patio in the back for the summer and it was so cute and intimate.  I told Arbol that I would be back because I had such a great time there and the customer service was awesome, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
