Venus-Capricorn Mercury-Aquarius

On the low I am super sad about the end of Capricorn season… WEHHH.  I feel like it went by too fast.  But, in all honesty, Venus in retrograde has been extremely motivating.  For the people that don’t have a clue of what I am talking about, in astrology terms, Venus represents love, money, value and self-worth.  Being a Capricorn while Venus is retrograde makes us feel like this time is so personal.  Venus in Capricorn brings determination and the hunt for success, and without a doubt being able to reward yourself.
Venus ends retrograde on January 31st, there for if you have any goals that need to be completed, you must do them now.  While Venus is in Aquarius there is much focus around important and relevant relationships.  For the most part Aquarians love with their head not always with their heart, and that happens when Venus is in Aquarius.  STAY CALM, love is still in the air.
Mercury is the ruling planet of communication and ideas.  Towards the end of the retrograde station mercury moves in the same direction as Earth around the sun.  When Mercury is retrograde there are more noticeable issues in the areas of communication.  Issues will also show up in travels, and in our interaction with siblings. The retrograde cycle may also reveal that the delays and frustrations, or issues at hand are important to address, fix or resolve.  You will take the time to reveal the consequences of the choices that were made or the assumptions that were given to your thought process.  These facts are relevant to everyone, not just Aquarians.  Be aware of illusions and try to make decisions based on proofs, you must keep your eyes WIDE OPEN.

Today I took pictures of my cousin Taylor (Libra) and her Aquarian friend Tanya.  They are wearing awesome sweatshirts with their Sun Signs on them.  I honestly LOVE THEM.

Verde Coal Oven .. mmm

Yesterday was pretty cool. I met some really awesome people, two Pisces and a Gemini.  But the most interesting person I met last night was Arbol.  After taking pictures yesterday I was so attached to Brooklyn I literally fell in love with that town.  So I wanted to eat dinner, but the number one thing that grosses me out is going to a dirty ass restaurant with rude people waiting on you.  I typed into Google food, and the third thing that I clicked was a restaurant called Verde Coal Oven.  It had 4.5 stars so I decided that we were going to eat there.  At first it is hard to find, but Taylor saw it kind of hidden.  We parked and walked in.  The first step in that restaurant was so relaxing.  The lights were perfectly dimmed to set the mood right.  There were probably 6 other diners in the restaurant.  We picked our seats and the very nice lady approached us.  I requested a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon and continued to look at the menu.  I swear my mouth started watering as soon as I saw the apps.   Since I have been trying to eat “right” I didn’t even know what the fuck I wanted to eat.  My mind is telling me to eat something healthy, and my eyes are telling me to order that damn short rib meal that on the menu!!!! Hahahaha.  So if you know me, you know exactly what I did, loll … I GOT THE SHORT RIB DUAH! I appreciate great food.

So I put the order in and there was a man just sitting on the seats by himself talking to the waitress here and there.  He just looked so damn interesting.  He had a mustache that reminded me of jack sparrow.  Actually he reminded me of Jack Sparrow, I asked him if I could take a picture of him and he gave me a pose.  Then I started to listen to him speak- moisture, he had an accent.  I’m a sucker for accents not even going to lie.  So I asked him where he was from, Argentina, my next curiosity, when was his birthday.
I and Taylor were sitting down thinking so hard like creeps, about when his birthday was.  So were like oh he’s def. a sign that we would expect him to be, but he had tattoos, and then we were like , hmmm that mustache is out there so he’s not conservative.  WTF sign is he!?  I obviously asked him and he was a Pisces.  I was surprised I don’t know I just wanted him to say he was a Gemini, come to find out that he is married to a Gemini.  That’s good enough loll.
When our plates came out my food looked so damn good that my bottom lip dropped into my plate.  It was mashed potatoes (not a fan) with broccoli rabe, and a short rib all cooked on a skillet.  The smell slowly steamed off the short rib and jumped right into my taste buds.  Holy fuck that shit was so damn good.  I ATE ALL OF IT; even the mashed potatoes were amazing.  Taylor had ordered spaghetti and meatballs, and I tried her meatball, wow I could taste every bit of meat that existed in that meat ball.  The seasoning was perfect the meatball was so damn tender I was like wtf is that real life ha-ha.
We were so full after.  Come to find out that Arbol was the chef and owner of this beautiful restaurant.  We chit chatted and took pictures together.  He was kind enough to give me a tour of his back room where a stove and refrigerator from the 1920’s was delicately placed.  They both worked too.  He proceeded to show me his upcoming installment of an outside patio in the back for the summer and it was so cute and intimate.  I told Arbol that I would be back because I had such a great time there and the customer service was awesome, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

Sunday January 13, 2014

Since December 27th 2013 I have been telling myself everyday that 2014 is my year.  My cousin Taylor and I share the same feeling towards 2014.  I have wanted to do something fun.  Not only fun but also motivating, I need something else in my life to bring me joy laughter and excitement.  If I am in a situation where I am challenging myself or being positively influenced then I am in a great place.

Therefore, I am committed to cutting the bullshit out of my life.. Aka – stop being lazy and take advantage of the world around me, explore what is hidden.

My boyfriend gave me a camera as my Christmas gift.  GENIUS! I’m obsessed with it.  Photography has been a fad of mine, I am def.  great at it.

It was only 45 degrees outside but, it was sunny and I am committed to my goal.

Taylor and I took a ride to Bushwick Brooklyn. Driving into the city is either a pain in the ass or not.  For a Sunday I must admit that everything went SAF (Smooth As Fuck).  There was literally NO TRAFFIC; I must have been driving 65 MPH the entire way there and back.  Within 45 minutes we were in there.

The main reason for visiting this town is because of the amazing street art that exists.  Honestly, just about all of it is amazing.   The first piece that I saw was a mural of 3 obese women in pastel green yellow and orange.  They reminded me of 3 monsters from the movie Monsters Inc.  Anyways.

The navi on my phone directed me from Wayne NJ to the Bushwich collective art street.  I had to pee so fucking bad, so I went to the nearest eatery and got a nasty cup of green tea that tasted like fish, pee’d and then left because the smell of raw eggs was making me so damn nauseas that I had to get the fuck out.  Plus the waiter Katie was rude as fuck. GIRL BYE

Murals surrounded this little place and the second one that I saw was a painting of this woman with geometric shapes on her face. The one thing that I love to see in art is symmetry or the lack of.  Perfection and imperfections are really my style; I find great interest in perfecting things that are flawed.  I met a Pisces who was cool, he knew a lot about the art in the area because he was from Queens.  I don’t have anything against Pisces but they are my opposite so there is something interesting about that sign.

We all walked around the area, a few blocks or so and took pictures of the streets filled with this amazing graffiti.  People are really fucking talented out there and I am obsessed with what I saw.

We wrapped up our day and went to the AP Café, with a second cup of green tea and an Aussie employee who truly captivated my mind.  When I walked in she looked up and boom- her eyes were an icy light baby green, big eyes too, her pupils were small and all I saw was that beautiful color.  Her bangs were sick, not your usual bang, it was cut straight across her forehead – what daaaaaaa, I secretly was obsessed and then she said, “Hi what can I get ya?”  Her eyes her bangs her eyebrows and her damn smile all had me stuck – then when she started to talk I was like – wow, it really just got better, she even has an accent – this fucking woman is unreal.  Guess what, she was a Gemini just like I had predicted.  We exchanged information, she a photographer and an amazing one.  Get it girl <3

Ill shares all the pictures I took, or at least the best ones.
